Miele mini-upright vacuums that are optionally equipped with an S163 HEPA Filter are far better for allergy sufferers than the Super Air Clean Filter that comes as standard with some models, like the Miele S163. While the Super Air Clean Filter removes a respectable 99.95% of particles to 0.5 microns, the S163 HEPA Filter captures and retains an amazing 99.99% of particles as small as 0.3 microns, including dust mites, pollen and other allergens. The S163 HEPA Filter also includes an odor-removing activated charcoal filter. Replace filter once a year, unless dirty. 1 filter per box.
Optionally choose a Miele Active Air Clean Filter if you don’t need the allergen-filtering level of a HEPA, but still want a filter effective at removing very strong odors and 94% of particles to 0.3 microns.
