Miele S300-S600 vacuum models optionally equipped with a S300-S600 Active HEPA Filter are far better for allergy sufferers than the Super Air Clean Filter included with some models, like the Miele S514 canister. While the Super Air Clean Filter removes a respectable 99.95% of particles to 0.5 microns, the S300-S600 Active HEPA Filter captures and traps an amazing 99.99% of particles to 0.3 microns, including dust mites, pollen and other allergens. Also contains an odor-removing activated charcoal filter. Replace once per year, unless dirty. 1 filter per box.
Optionally choose a Miele Active Air Clean Filter if you don’t need the allergen-filtering level of a HEPA, but still want a filter effective at removing very strong odors and 94% of particles to 0.3 microns.
