Blueair’s replacement HEPASilent Particle Filters remove 99.97% of airborne allergens as small as 0.1 micron, like pollen, pet dander, dust mite allergen, mold spores, bacteria, viruses and more, keeping your indoor air fresh and clean.
Blueair HEPA Air Purifiers
trap 6 times more dirt and dust than do comparable machines. Blueair’s secret is a patented 3-stage HEPA filtration process that's like having 3 filters in 1 (traditional HEPA filtration is typically only 2 stages). Each stage in Blueair's filtration process is specifically designed to capture large, medium and ultra small particles (in that order), as air flows through the filter media. The aim is to capture as many particles as possible at each stage, with minimal clogging along the way, resulting in maximum air flow through the filter, and output containing higher volumes of clean air.

Blueair's HEPASilent Particle Filters are made from non-toxic polypropylene filter media ( to capture particles), and activated carbon (to remove odors, smoke, gases, fumes and other VOCs). Blueair’s high efficiency HEPASilent filter design deters clogging, which improves the purifier's overall performance and prolongs the life of the HEPA filter.
The optional Blueair Smokestop™ Filter for the 200-300 models
or the optional Blueair Smokestop™ Filter for the 400-600 models
performs the same job as the Particle Filter, but with more carbon to absorb greater amounts of odors, smoke and fumes. Smokestop filters are recommended when removing smoke, fumes and gaseous contaminants is a main concern.
Replace HEPASilent Particle Filter every 6 months.
Filter changes are easy. Just open the lid, lift out the old filter(s) and drop in the new. No screws, hooks or tools required. Filter changes take less than a minute.
Replacing your HEPA filter every 6 months keeps your Blueair purifier performing at its peak.
The Blueair HEPASilent Particle Filter is a 3-Stage Progressive Filter:
- Most filters from other air purifier manufacturers are thinner and usually consist of the same size fiber throughout
- Blueair filters have millions of ultra-thin fibers in 3 different sizes:
- The first layer traps large particles, like dust and pollen
- The second and third layers progressively capture much smaller particles, like bacteria, exhaust and microscopic particles
