The HEPASilent Filters Exceed Typical HEPA Air Filtration By Capturing 99.97% Of Particles To 0.1 Micron.
Blueair’s patented HEPASilent filtration captures particles two ways. Electrostatic Ion Brushes inside the air purifier charge particles so they are magnetically attracted to the revolutionary filter media while producing no ozone. Charged particles cling moreeasily to the filter media yielding higher filter efficiency. The Blueair HEPA particle filter captures airborne allergens including dust mite allergen, animal dander, mold spores, bacteria and pollen.
The 201 Blueair HEPA Air Purifier draws air in through the back of the unit through the ionization chamber where particles are charged to ensure they will adhere to the filter. The air then passes through the 3-stage progressive filter. The charged particles must pass through three layers of the filter, with the largest particles trapped on the first stage. This prevents the filter from becoming clogged and ensures that even the smallest particles are trapped, eliminating the need for pre-filters. Clean air is then released into the room from the top of the Blueair Air Purifier.
