How to Care for Your Allergy Control Encasing:
While sheets and other linens should be washed regularly in hot water or with an allergen-removing laundry detergent, Allergy Control encasings only need to be washed once a year or when soiled. When changing linens, you should lightly vacuum or wipe clean the encasing to remove surface allergens.
To wash your encasing, follow the washing instructions listed below:
Allergy Control COTTON PERFORMANCE, Pristine COMPLETE and COTTON PURE Encasings:
- Machine Wash HOT on Permanent Press
- Non-chlorine Bleach can be used when needed
- Wash with Zipper Open
- Tumble Dry on Permanent Press Setting
- Do Not Iron (Pristine COMPLETE). Iron, Low Setting (COTTON PERFORMANCE or COTTON PURE)
- Do Not Dry Clean
NOTE: Do not remove the encasings for at least 18 months if you have a bed bug problem and have covered your bedding in a COTTON PERFORMANCE or a Pristine COMPLETE Encasing. Bed bugs can lie dormant for up to 18 months, and they will resurface if the encasing is removed too early. An encasing can help prevent bed bugs from infesting your bed as a preventative step. The encasing can also contain bed bugs in encased bedding if a problem arises. If you experience a bed bug infestation, additional steps and professional services designed to eradicate bed bugs will likely be necessary to remove these pests from your home.
These washing instructions apply to all Allergy Control fabric-based encasings purchased in the past (non-membrane encasings).

- Machine Wash HOT
- No Bleach
- Wash with Zipper Open
- Drip Dry
- Do Not Iron
- Do Not Dry Clean
These washing instructions apply to other Allergy Control membrane style encasings purchased in the past.
