    A few things to remember:

  • Clean your humidifier regularly - at least once every two weeks
  • Change your wick at least once per season
  • You may choose to use Bacteriostat to reduce mold and mildew buildup.

For effective humidification, it is important to position the unit where the most humidity is needed or where the moist air will be circulated throughout the house such as near a cold air return. The humidifier should be placed at least FOUR inches away from any curtains or walls, and away from heat registers. Do not place on soft carpet. Due to release of cool, moist air from the humidifier, it is best to direct air away from thermostat and hot air registers.

As the evaporative wick traps accumulated minerals from the water, its ability to absorb and evaporate water decreases. Changing the wick at the beginning of every season is recommended. In hard water areas, more frequent replacement may be necessary to maintain your humidifierメs efficiency.

Personal comfort is a major factor in determining where to set your humidity level for your home. The point at which you set your humidity level should not not cause condensation on walls or windows.

The following is a chart of the manufacturer recommended humidity setting when the outside temperature is the number charted below.
