When there has been real bad stains, this detergent has works good to do such laundry loads as that-using very warm rinse. Grease stains too as well I have mixed ammonia with it and no dangerous fumes occurr. I use EnviroRite a liquid laundry detergent for very large loads. There's just one thing, to use automatic dishwasher detergent for washing clothes, - better know what there doing. One thing, that is never to use a chlorine type automatic dishwasher deterrgent! I also use EnviroRite tub and tile cleaner for the same reason. It is chlorine free and does a good job any way.
This is the best auto dishwashing powder I have ever used. All the dishes shine and are so clean, I love it!!!
Product needs an expiration date on the package. All dishwasher detergents need an expiration date.
I bought this because the fumes from regular dishwashing detergent bothered my husband, who has terrible allergies. I was skeptical about how it would clean my dishes but I shouldn't have worried---it worked beautifully! No fumes, no filmy residue. I will definitely be ordering more of this product! After several months of using this product, I am still very satisfied. I just placed my second order for 4 jars.
Should have expiration date
We are extremely fragrance sensitive, and bought this dishwasher detergent after a case of our previous "free and clear" brand was fragrance contaminated. At first we were very satisfied. The product cleans the dishes well and leaves no noticeable residue. Over a period of months, however, the product seems to develop a fragrance, all by itself, unopened in its original container. We were dumbfounded when we realized the four unopened containers under our sink were emitting fragrance, slightly impacting our health. We ordered replacement product, which seemed fine, and (regrettably) sent four containers of this to the landfill. The new shipment seemed to be fragrance free. However, over the last two months using the new shipment, there has been an increasing fragrance smell when the container is opened, and from the dishes. We can only conclude that either (1) the product contains undisclosed fragrance, and in addition an undisclosed masking fragrance which is dissipating over time; or (2) the product contains an undisclosed fragrance encapsulated in cyclodextrins (the normal way of holding fragrance in a laundry detergent, where the fragrance molecules are wrapped in other molecules which do not release the fragrance until coming in contact with water, in this case presumably the humidity in the air). Forgive my spelling, I'm not a chemist. In either event, we choose to no longer purchase products from this manufacturer, and are searching for a new, truly fragrance free, dishwasher detergent.
