Blueair 400 Series Dual Protection Filter 402DPF is designed for the maximum particle, gas and odor removal. Recommended for removing heavy gases, odors and VOCs. Optimized for Blueair's HEPA Silent technology, removing 99.97% of airborne particles as small as 0.1 micron, even on the lowest fan speed. Package contains one (1) Blueair 400 Series Dual Protection 402DPF Filter and fits Blueair models 403, 405, 450E, 402, 410, 455EB, 480i.

Blueair 400 Series Dual Protection 402DPF Filter is recommended for advanced removal of particles, smoke, fumes, and gaseous contaminants. The next generation of advanced carbon filters, Blueair’s DualProtection filters combine uncompromised particle removal with faster gas and odor removal.
Blueair's Advanced HEPASilent™ technology removes 99.97% of particles down to 0.1 micron. Rapidly removing pollutants such as pollen, dust, pet dander, mold spores, viruses, bacteria, microplastics, and more- with no reduction in Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR). The pure, activated coconut carbon naturally and quickly removes gaseous pollutants such as PM 2.5, smoke, VOCs, exhaust, smog, odors and airborne chemicals, without the need for chemical additives.

VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds)
- VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) are gases and chemicals emitted by a variety of products and objects, many of which can be found in your home. In fact, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) numbers these products to be in the thousands. The EPA cautions that "many VOCs are consistently higher indoors (up to 10 times higher) than outdoors."
- The EPA warns that some VOCs "may have short and long-term adverse health effects." Examples include paints, cleaning supplies, disinfectants, cosmetics, pesticides, building materials, furnishings, hobby products – and the list goes on. Many of these products emit VOCs even when they are not in use (such as furnishings built with products containing formaldehyde).
